Kookaburra Reverse with Privy Mark
The coin’s reverse portrays a kookaburra on a corrugated roof top with stylised rays of sunlight in the background. Included in the design is a small privy mark depicting Pink Common Heath, a slender, upright shrub with tubular flowers that was chosen to represent the state of Victoria in 1958. As well as the inscription AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA 30TH ANNIVERSARY, the reverse bears the coin’s weight and purity and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The coin’s reverse depicts a representation of a kookaburra perched on a roof at dawn with stylised rays of light in the background. Also included in the design is a privy mark with a coloured representation of a Kangaroo Paw, the inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA 30TH ANNIVERSARY’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the weight and purity.
