This Three Coin Proof Set, produced by the Royal Australian Mint, Commemorates the Centenary of Federation of Australia. One hundred years ago, six British colonies came together in a Federation that established Australia as an independent sovereign nation, and in 1911 the Northern Territory became a separate Territory within the Commonwealth.
The Northern Territory, the vision and talent of our youth, and the unity of Our land are symbolised on the 50g, the 20¢ and $1 coins in this set. The effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth l by lan Rank-Broadley appears on the obverse of each coin.
