2010 Australian Tax Office Centenary 20c Uncirculated Coin.

The Australian Taxation Office will celebrate it’s Centenary on 12th November 2010.

Our coin is a symbolic recognition of the work the ATO undertakes for all Australians.

It represents our pride in Australian and recognises the achievements of our nation supported by a fair and professional ATO.

This is an opportune time for all of us to reflect on what the ATO has accomplished over the past 100 years and to plan for a future in which Australians value their tax and superannuation systems as community assets, and where willing participation is seen as good citizenship.

This coin recognises a job well done. The Royal Australian Mint will place our coin into public circulation this year, and I hank them and the Government for this honour. I would also like to thank past ATO officers, past and present for their combined efforts over 100 years.

The design of our coin was the result of consultation, collaboration and co-design with the community.

It reflects the ribbons of our past, present and future and of our journey in working with the community to provide Australia with the very best tax and superannuation administration.

Let's shape our next 100 years by thinking ahead, welcoming fresh ideas, making use of new technologies and by continuing to have strong and productive partnerships with the community and government.
