Fred Hollows was a skilled ophthalmologist, migrating from New Zealand in 1965 and set out to improve aboriginal health services, expanding internationally, he performed eye surgery in developing countries and taught local technicians to do the same.
His name will live on with the Fred Hollows Foundation along with the vision of millions worldwide.
