In 2011 Queen Elizabeth II makes her sixteenth visit to Australia to open the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which brings together the leaders of all the Commonwealth nations.

Her Majesty was the hrst reigning monarch to visit Australia in 1954, and she has visited every Australian state and mainland territory since.
