In pursuit of the seventh-placed horse, the gentle yet steadfast goat journeyed beside the lively monkey and the spirited rooster. As the finish line drew near, the trio joined forces to navigate a wide, rushing river. With calm determination, the goat led the charge, reached the far bank first, and crossed the line to secure eighth place.

Those born under the sign of the Chinese lunar Goat in 2027, 2015, 2003, 1991, 1979 and every 12th preceding year are said to be gentle souls with a natural gift for creativity and compassion. Their calm presence and quiet resilience make them steady anchors in challenging moments, while their artistic eye and thoughtful nature draw others to them. They tend to move through life with grace, empathy, and a deep appreciation for beauty.

The coin's reverse portrays a majestic goat standing proudly against a backdrop of towering mountains. His kid prances playfully nearby, full of youthful energy under the father's steady, protective gaze. Resting peacefully beneath delicate young cherry blossoms that signal the arrival of spring, the mother goat completes the serene family scene, bringing warmth and harmony to the landscape.

Also included in the design is the Chinese character for 'Goat', the inscription 'GOAT 2027', and The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark.

Specifications

Silver Content: 1 troy oz

Monetary Denomination: $1 AUD

Fineness: 99%

Minimum Gross Weight: 107 g

Maximum Diameter: 90 mm

Maximum Thickness: 50 mm

Maximum Mintage: 7,500

Issue Limit: 6,000

Reverse Designer: Natasha Muhl

Obverse Designer: Dan Thorne

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0401/9027/9844/files/rn-image_picker_lib_temp_1b7316bd-bda8-4902-8a93-2340d81cd3ac.png?v=1791212357
https://www.australianspecialtycoins.com.au/products/2027-year-of-the-goat-1oz-silver-proof-coloured-coin
