2020 The Dozing Sorcerer’s Apprentice 1oz Silver Coin
This officially licensed, pure silver collectible celebrates the 80th anniversary of Disney’s Fantasia which premiered in 1940.
The first in the collection, this 1oz silver coin shows Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. In this image taken from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, a segment of the film, he is captured dozing in a chair after setting the broom to work on his behalf. A beautiful mirror-finish background and subtle engraving in the foreground complete the design.
The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is legal tender in Niue.
The coin is delivered in complementary storybook-style packaging. Artwork taken from the film’s delightful posters adorn the packaging inside and out. A Certificate of Authenticity is printed alongside the coin along with a unique serial number.
This limited-edition coin has a worldwide mintage of only 1,940 – to reflect the year the film premiered. This is a very unique memento for any Disney fan or coin collector.
