The Australian Koala is a sought-after coin series featuring annual designs of the much-loved marsupial. Sleepy and docile, koalas spend most of their time either resting or eating gum leaves among Australia’s eucalyptus forests.

Pink gold gilding

The coin portrays a superbly detailed high relief image of a koala climbing a tree branch with a ‘joey’ clinging to its back. The beguiling artistry is further highlighted with 22-carat pink gold gilding, which has also been applied to the coin’s rim and edge.
