2023 Disney 100th Anniversary - Nemo 1/2oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin
Finding Nemo was created by Pixar Animation Studios (Pixar), a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company in 2006. In the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef, curious clownfish Nemo lives in his anemone home with his dad, Marlin. Having led a protected life, Nemo is eager to start school and explore the reef that surrounds it.
In Finding Nemo, the young fish is thrust on an unexpected adventure when he strays too far. It’s up to his dad to embark on an epic journey to save his only son.
Struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.

DESIGN
The coin’s reverse portrays a smiling, coloured Nemo surrounded by a raised reef and bubbles. Dory swims behind, waving her fin and grinning. Included on the reverse are the inscriptions ‘Disney 100’ and ‘©Disney/Pixar’, along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
The obverse of the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II supplemented by the dates of her reign ‘1952-2022’, as well as the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination and 2023 year-date.
