Known as The Great Race among fans and broadcasters, the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is an annual 1,000 kilometer touring car race, widely regarded as the pinnacle of Australian motor sport.
The most successful driver in the history of the race is Peter Brock and it is the Peter Brock Trophy that the winner now receives. The trophy was introduced at the 2006 race in honour of Brock after his tragic death.
