One hundred years ago, six British colonies came together in a Federation that established Australia as an independent sovereign nation, and in 1911 the Northern Territory became a separate Territory within the Commonwealth.

The effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth lI by lan Rank-Broadley appears on the obverse of each coin.
