2011 $1 Year of the Rabbit PNC

In 2011 we celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, the Perth Mint has struck this commemorative $1 coin for inclusion in Australia Post’s 2011 Year of the Rabbit Postal Numismatic Cover.

Affixed to the envelope are $1.80 and 60c stamps from Australia Post’s Christmas Island Lunar New Year Series, both stamps feature designs based on the Chinese character for ‘rabbit’ are postmarked 11 January 2011, the day this stamp and coin cover is released.

A popular gift and collectable for people born in the Year of the Rabbit – 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011, they are regarded as intelligent, articulate, compassionate and loyal.

This stamp and coin cover features Australia Post’s seal of authenticity and an official number.
