2018 Holden 2001 VX Commodore 50c Stamp & Coin Cover PNC
Featuring a 50c commemorative coin struck by The Royal Australian Mint with the LX Torana A9X design.
The LX series of V8 Holden Torana's was given a supercharge in the late 1970s, with the introduction of the A9X option.
Added to the slender two-door coupe was a rear-facing bonnet scoop to increase airflow and engine power, as well as rear disc brakes and heavy-duty axles.
The 1979 Holden LX Torana A9X proved its muscle-car credentials – winning the 1979 Bathurst race by a record six laps and setting the touring-car lap record on the last lap of the race.
