Perth Mint presents this wonderful 1oz silver bullion coin celebrating an iconic Australian marsupial. The wombat is a sturdy quadruped found in forested, mountainous and heathland areas of eastern Australia and Tasmania.
With powerful limbs and sharp flat claws, it is ideally built for digging. At up to one meter in length, it is one of the largest burrowing animals in the world.
The coin portrays a coloured representation of one of Australia’s best-known marsupials – the wombat. As well as the inscription ‘WOMBAT’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, the reverse includes the coin’s weight, purity and 2022 year date. Each coin’s reverse includes a security feature in the form of a micro-laser engraved letter within the design.
