2023 Anzac Day Lest We Forget $1 AlBr Uncirculated Coin
2023 Anzac Day $1 Commemorative Coin
Anzac Day falls on the 25 April each year, the day Australian and New Zealand troops landed on the Gallipoli peninsula in 1915.
Since 1916, it has been dedicated to commemorative activities honouring the courage and sacrifice of the first ANZACs during World War I and all succeeding Defence Force personnel who have served in times of war and other operations. Issued as Australian legal tender, the uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
The Anzac Day 2023 $1 Coin in Card has an unlimited mintage.
DESIGN
The reverse of the coin portrays a stylised torch and an external flame, a symbol of gratitude and remembrance. It is encircled by images of poppies, the commemorative flower of remembrance. As well as the inscriptions ‘25 APRIL’ and ‘LEST WE FORGET’, the design also incorporates The Perth Mint’s historic ‘P’ mintmark.
The coin’s obverse bears the Queen Elizabeth II memorial obverse featuring the Jody Clark effigy, supplemented with the dates of her reign, and the monetary denomination.
PRESENTATION
The coin is housed in a specially designed card which features a fold-out stand for upright display.
