The coin’s coloured reverse portrays a charming koala sitting in a tree trunk, holding a eucalyptus branch. The background includes a striking sunset and a beautifully illustrated forest of eucalyptus trees.

The design also includes the inscription ‘KOALA’, along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight, purity and 2026 year-date.

The coin’s obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination.
