2026 Hello Kitty Cinnamoroll & Badtz-Maru $1 Coloured Coin PNC

The Perth Mint is pleased to present this Stamp and Coin Cover featuring Hello Kitty and Friends.

Hello Kitty is a globally recognised character created by the Japanese company Sanrio in 1974, designed by illustrator Yuko Shimizu. Over the decades, Hello Kitty’s circle of friends has continued to grow, creating a warm and diverse group of companions. She shares joyful and caring friendships with characters like Pompompurin, Keroppi, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, and Badtz-Maru. Hello Kitty enjoys calm, happy moments with Pompompurin, while also keeping pace with Keroppi’s playful and adventurous energy.

My Melody, one of her earliest friends, shares a gentle and loving bond with her, and Cinnamoroll adds a touch of sweetness with his shy, friendly nature. Even the cheeky and mischievous Badtz-Maru is part of the group, showing that Hello Kitty embraces everyone for who they are. Together, their friendships celebrate kindness, fun, and the beauty of being different while staying connected.

The coloured reverse of the coin portrays Hello Kitty wearing pink overalls and the iconic red bow on her head and her group of friends. The design is set against a background of stars and dots and includes the inscriptions ‘HELLO KITTY AND FRIENDS’ and ©2026 SANRIO.

The uncirculated aluminum bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
