The Perth Mint is pleased to present this Stamp and Coin Cover featuring Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, and Kerokerokeroppi.
Hello Kitty is a globally recognised icon created by the Japanese company Sanrio in 1974, originally designed by illustrator Yuko Shimizu. Over the years, Sanrio has expanded Hello Kitty’s universe by introducing many other adorable “kawaii” characters, continuing to capture the hearts of fans worldwide.
Among these favourites are Hello Kitty, Pompompurin, and Keroppi, each with their own distinct personality and charm. Hello Kitty is a kind and friendly character who loves making friends and spreading kindness everywhere she goes. Pompompurin, the laid-back golden retriever with his signature brown beret, enjoys relaxing, eating pudding, and spending time with his pals. Keroppi, the lively green frog, is full of energy and loves outdoor adventures, sports, and helping others. Together, they represent friendship, fun, and positivity, making them favorites among fans of all ages.
The coloured reverse of the coin portrays Hello Kitty wearing pink overalls and the iconic red bow on her head, with Pompompurin, and Keroppi. The design is set against a background of dots and includes the inscriptions ‘HELLO KITTY AND FRIENDS’ and ©2026 SANRIO.
The uncirculated aluminum bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs.
