Stuart Devlin's iconic mob of kangaroos, first struck on the one-dollar coin in 1984, has been thoughtfully extended to include a sixth kangaroo, one for each decade of decimal currency since 1966. The result is a composition that balances stillness and dynamism, rendered in exceptional detail on 1oz of 99.9% pure silver with a premium frosted uncirculated finish.
The kangaroo's presence on Australian coinage dates to 1910, appearing on the threepence, shilling, and florin before leaping onto the penny in 1938. This coin continues that proud lineage in the most collectible format yet.
Low mintage of just 10,000 coins will be produced.
