2026 World Money Fair 'Australian Kookaburra with Double Ampelmann Privy' 1oz Silver Coloured Coin
Beloved Australian wildlife
Embodying the vibrant wildlife of Australia, the kookaburra is a beloved and iconic bird. Known for its distinctive laughing call that resembles human laughter, it can often be heard at dawn and dusk and plays a crucial role in establishing territory among kookaburras.
Iconic privy mark
The coin’s coloured reverse portrays the famous bush bird in flight over a river, framed by lush trees and rugged rocks. The design features a privy mark depicting red and green Ampelmännchen, honouring the Berlin cult brand featuring traffic light men designed in East Germany during the 1960s. Included in the design is the inscription ‘KOOKABURRA’, along with The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight, purity, and 2026 year-date.
Presentation packaging
The coin is housed in a special World Money Fair presentation card displaying the show logo and dates. The presentation card also features a fold-out stand for upright display.
